The Body Autonomy Project
In reaction to the increasing number of states passing laws that remove or even criminalize a woman's right to choose, I have designed this pin. It is available in three sizes, in sterling silver with glass beads. The largest pin has seven glass blood drops representing the seven states to pass such legislation in recent months. The medium and small are scaled down versions of the same design.
100% of the proceeds from this design will be split between Planned Parenthood and the ACLU.
Pricing Model: If I were to sell these for profit, I would probably ask between $75 (for the small) and $150 (for the large). If you would like to pay that much, I welcome the chance to pass along your donation.
At a minimum, I would like to be able to donate $45 for the small, $65 for the medium, and $75 for the large pins. That said, if you cannot afford that minimum, email me and let me know what you can afford and I'll see what I can do. NOTE: Only one pin per person, please!
Ordering
Select the size you want (below), then select the amount you wish to contribute from the drop-down. A $9.45 fee will be added for shipping via USPS Priority Mail (Sorry, US shipments only.). I will fulfill orders on a first come, first serve basis. If you select a size that is sold out, please check back in a week or so, as I continue to make the pins.
Please note - each pin is hand fabricated and therefore there will be slight variances in each item.
To any and all jewelers: You have my permission to recreate this design as long as two conditions are met:
- You credit me for the design
- If you sell them, the proceeds must go to the above organizations (you are free to give them away)
The blood drop shaped beads are available via Fire Mountain Gems.
I have used 22 g sterling for the body of the piece, with 16 g wire for
the large hangers, down to 18 g for the hangers on the smaller two.
To all other artists, I encourage you to create equivalent work in your chosen medium.
